Description
Astral’s first shoes were dedicated river shoes. And the features that make their river shoes so good, can be found in the TR1 Junction. While the TR1 are designed for trail use, they can handle water too. There’s plenty of mesh, so water drains out and your feet can dry quickly. River crossings, puddles and rain are no match.
Versatility is another strong point. They are comfortable for all day wear, and are at home on the street as well as on the trail.
The main difference between a water shoe, like the Brewer, and the TR1 is the sole. The rubber is still fairly sticky, but they treat has a more open treat pattern, with more defined lugs. This gives better grip on soft surfaces (mud, wet grass etc), as well as on tree roots. The TR1 also has a little bit more foot support. The shoe is still nice and light though.

- Outsole: G.15™ high friction Rubber with aggressive 5mm lugs. Non-marking.
