Hard Hatch Lids (as used on the Freyja, Ymir, Thor and Sleipner).
These are all fibreglass and red coloured. These are sold as the lid only (which incudes the foam seal on the underside).
Replacement Skeg Blades
If you damage the skeg blade or the skeg wire on your Idun, Bylgja, Ask or Embla, we have a spare available. The Idun and Bylgja use the Kajak Sport Skeg Pro 3 blade, while the Ask and Embla use the Kajak Sport Traditional Skeg Blade (Centre Wire). You will need to cut the wire to fit your kayak. Please contact us if you need advice on removing the skeg blade.
Skeg Slider
This is used on the Bylgja, Idun, Ask and Embla.
Hatch Lock
This is the nylon disk used to secure the hatch lids used on the Freyja, Ymir, Thor and Sleipner. The metal hardware used in assembling the hatch lock is not included.
Replacement Rudder
We’ve got complete rudders, along with the commonly damaged parts available. They will fit the Freyja, Ymir and Sleipner kayaks.
- A complete rudder includes a new rudder body, rudder block and rudder blade. It does not include a replacement rudder pin.
- The rudder block is the ‘central’ part of the rudder. It’s the part that everything bolts onto. It’s also the part that can be broken if you take a knock to the rudder.
- The rudder blades are all 520mm long, to suit the range of Norse single kayaks.
Footrests
Most of the kayaks we have sold have been fitted with the same footrests. In 2024 (or maybe 2023), Norse swapped to Kajak Sport foot rests. Please refer to the photos for each option to see which foot rests are fitted to your kayak. The footrests are sold as a complete unit, with rails and footrests. Fastenings are not included. The Kajak Sport Footrests are sold as a footrest with an optional steering upgrade. So this will suit both rudder kayaks and non-rudder kayaks.
Seat and Backrest Cushions
The cushion is held in place with Christmas Tree clips. These are not included with a new seat cushion, but they can be purchased from an auto parts shop. The backrest cushion slips over the seat back and is held in place with the main backrest strap.
