Used Valley Gemini Sea Kayak

The Gemini SP RM is an extremely versatile kayak. Sure, it’s playful and loves to surf and explore in the rocks. But, it’s a competent touring kayak too. It’ll take a bit of gear and it moves through the water well for a 4.5m long kayak. The SP in the name stands for Sport Play. And the Sport part of the name is accurate. The Gemini is a heap fun; nimble, quick edge to edge and responsive. It’s a kayak that will make intermediate and advanced sea kayakers smile.

Valley produce some of the highest quality kayaks available. Their rotomolded kayaks have a three layer construction and this gives a tough and rigid kayak. And, another unique design feature Valley incorporate are welded bulkheads. Rather than a foam bulkhead, Valley fit plastic bulkheads, which are welded in place. They take up less space (ie there is more space to pack your gear) and being welded, they won’t begin to leak like a foam bulkhead can after a few years.

This kayak has been well used, so has a well scuffed hull, with numerous scratches. A couple of scratches have minor denting associated with them. But, there are no repairs, nor are any repairs required. Everything else is functioning well. The three rubber hatch lids have been replaced with new Kajak Sport rubber covers.

We had been selling this kayak new for $3850. Now, it would cost considerably more to get the same kayak.
