Description
This kayak has been in the demo fleet for a few years. It’s had a bit of use, but it’s fairly tidy. There is no serious wear and the hull doesn’t have any big scratches. Just minor scratches and scuffing. The fittings are all functioning well. The kayak has had some reinforcing glued where the seats attach to the hull. Small cracks were developing and this has added strength to prevent further cracking.
The AR Duo is a unique kayak. It bridges the gap between a wider double sea kayak and a long, narrow racing double. It’s stable enough that the majority of paddlers can paddle it and feel confident. It moves through the water with more efficiency than a wide, expedition focused kayak. At 30kg, it’s much easier to handle off the water. It’s works well for shorter trip / day paddles, but can still handle multiday trips (just pack wisely). However, it’s not limited to sea kayak touring. If you intend to complete in the Coast to Coast tandem teams race, this is the kayak used on race day. Get your own AR Duo and be familiar with it before race day.

If you are interested in purchasing a composite kayak please be aware that we do not send these kayaks out using a freight company. You either need to collect it from us, or we can deliver it locally.
