If you want a whitewater PFD, but don’t want any rescue features, look at the Palm FX. 

The front foam panel sits down low, giving plenty of movement, whilst still offering a reasonable level of buoyancy. The front pocket offer good storage space for rescue gear and/or snacks for the river. One standout feature is the design of the shoulder straps. A single length of webbing is sewn into the waist of the PFD, at the front and at the rear. The shoulder adjustment is independent of this, giving the shoulder straps plenty of strength.
