The shock cord fitted to the deck of most sea kayaks is ideal for storing a spare paddle or accessories. But getting these items into place is not always easy. A Deck Ball is the answer. When fitted, it’s way easier to slide paddle blades into place.

Fitting is straightforward. Decide where you wish to locate the deck ball and place a knot in the cord at this point. Slide each half of the Deck Ball along the cord and click them together over the knot.
